Integrate VeraLab with Your Campus LDAP for Seamless, Secure Sign-In

The diagram below illustrates how VeraLab connects to your existing LDAP server. If you already manage student records in a central LDAP directory, VeraLab can plug directly into your IT infrastructure — no duplicate data entry required.

Benefits of VeraLab LDAP Integration

VeraLab Integration with LDAP

Sign-in/Sign-out Process

  1. User logs in to a workstation running VeraLab Guard.
  2. The user is authenticated against LDAP or the local User Accounts Database. If successful, the workstation unlocks; otherwise, an error message is displayed.
  3. VeraLab logs the start and end of every user session for monitoring and control. Both successful and failed login attempts are stored in the database and available for reporting.
  4. The user logs out manually, or is automatically signed out after an idle session timeout (if enabled).
